Eat Well, Spend Less Online

A six-week online cooking & budgeting course.

Eat Well, Spend Less online is a six-week budgeting and cookery online course and will be released as a weekly video with a variety of recipes you can follow along. Each recipe will be taught by a couple of our wonderful instructors. If successfully enrolled, you will also receive a weekly food parcel with all the ingredients and fresh produce you will need to complete each recipe.

Additionally, we will provide support during the course on our EWSL Facebook Group by the Bournemouth Foodbank. Here you will be able to contact your assigned mentor and ask questions about the recipes. You will also be able to engage with the community by sharing photos of your own dishes and following other participants.

On our Facebook group, we will also cover a range of subjects surrounding cooking and budgeting, including menu planning, portion sizes, money planning, ‘supermarket psychology’, and tips on picking up bargains.

  • Paperwork and links each week to help with budgeting and written assignments.
  • Weekly Online support from a designated coach via online video chat
  • Facebook page for you to share with others on the course
  • Basic equipment (if needed) will be lent to you
  • A Certificate on completion

  • To watch and cook the weekly recipes
  • Post photos of your cooked recipes on the Facebook page
  • Meet weekly with your online coach for the duration of the course
  • Complete the paper assignments and discuss with your online coach
  • Enjoy, grow in confidence in the kitchen and have fun!!
  • If you are unable to complete the course, we expect you to give back any equipment that we have given to you
