Christmas Hamper Appeal 2017

24th November 2017

Bournemouth Foodbank Christmas Hamper Appeal

This year Bournemouth Foodbank are on track to deliver 200 hampers to families in need this Christmas.

Each family that receives a hamper will get everything they need to eat and celebrate together for three days. The hampers will include fresh and frozen food, Christmas goodies and a message of hope for the new year from the Bible.

Local churches are hugely involved with this project every step of the way. Many churches nominate families in their communities who are truly in need. Churches also pledge particular items to help us fill the hampers. And churches provide the volunteers to help us deliver the hampers to those that need them.

As a result, on Thursday 21 December, over 6 tonnes of food will go out to feed as many as 1,000 people in need.

This has been made possible thanks to an incredible amount of support from local businesses and other community groups. This really has been a massive team effort.

There is still a lot of work to be done and we would be grateful for any other organisations who still want to partner with us in this project.
