Incredible Autumn Donations!

Jelly Tots Foodbank Donation Bournemouth

It seems there has been a lot of generosity in the air for community groups in Bournemouth this Autumn!

Some of the local schools have topped the ‘leaderboard’ in terms of the amounts donated, with a humungous 545kg donated by St Michael’s Primary School. Winton Primary were not far behind, donating just over 500kg!

For this year’s ‘Mitzvah Day’ on November 19, three local Jewish groups pooled their donations to give 225kg to the Foodbank. This has been split between the Bournemouth Foodbank and the Foodbank over in Poole. Thanks so much to the Bournemouth Hebrew Congregation, Bournemouth Reform Synagogue and Chabad of Bournemouth!

Even the ‘littluns’ have been getting involved, as Lansdowne Church’s ‘Jelly Tots’ group invited parents and toddlers to donate to the Foodbank at Harvest time. You can see some of their happy faces in the photo at the top of this post.

There areĀ so many other groups that it would almost be too many name. But I have some time so we’re going to name them anyway!

A huge thank you to (deep breath…):

St. Peters School, St. Walburgas School, Linwood School, St Clements Church, Malmesbury Park, Jewell Academy, St Georges, St James’ Church, Pokesdown, Stonefield Junior School, St Paul’s Throop, St Christophers Church, St Savours Church, St Marks Church, St Andrews Church, Winton Methodist Church, Kings Park School, St. Francis of Asissi Church, Springbourne Christian Centre, St. Martin’s, Church of Nazerene, Christadelphian Church, St Ambrose Church, Wessex Jewish Liberals, Bethany School, St Marks School, Iford United Reformed Church, and Kinderworld Day Nursery!

We can’t say thank you enough, so we’ll say it again and again – thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!
