New foodbank collection bins across Bournemouth

Nationwide Building Society’s Social Investment Committee in Bournemouth have made a generous donation to fund 12 food collection points!

The first was unveiled at their admin centre on Richmond Hill by Committee lead Maria Debska and member Ryan Fairbrass.

“We’ve had a brilliant working relationship with Foodbank over the past few years, particularly around Christmas time when the whole site is involved with the collection of food and production of family hampers. This investment should help Foodbank continue to grow, while offering our teams a chance to support through contributions all year around,

Ryan Fairbrass, Nationwide

Bournemouth Foodbank rely on partnerships with local businesses and other groups who support our work in the community by providing funds, food and volunteers. The Committee at Nationwide were eager to help boost our year-round supply of non-perishable foods by buying these amazing baskets, clearly signed and attractively branded (with the help of local firm Gator Grafix), to update our donors with our biggest needs.

If you would like to give food, please check the ‘Give Help’ page on our website to find our latest shopping list and the different locations that you can drop off your donations.

Another such partner is local dance studio ‘Footprints Dancers’. Footprints often ask their dancers to bring along items to give to the Foodbank, and recently they’ve held a couple of fundraising events, too!

At the most recent fundraiser, we were even able to make use  of one of the new food collection points!
