Bournemouth Foodbank relies heavily on food donations from the public. These donations help us provide balanced and nutritious three-day food supplies to those in need.

	We use BankTheFood to keep you updated on the items we’re running low on. It’s a great app; you only need to download it and select Bournemouth Foodbank as preferred. You can also activate notifications which means you’ll get a reminder when you visit the supermarket, so you never forget to donate.

You can donate food to Bournemouth Foodbank in any of the following ways.

1. Online Shopping

We’ve partnered with Give Today to make donating food to Bournemouth Foodbank easier for our supporters. Give Today makes it really easy for our team to update you with the items we need the most at any given time or even to put bundles together so you can donate to any specific cause at the food bank. You can shop normally, and we will conveniently receive the donations at our warehouse.

 

2. Supermarket Donations

Local supermarkets host a permanent donation point where people can leave the donations they purchase during their visit. Here’s a list of the main ones.

Please note that supermarkets only allow items purchased in their own store.

 

3. Food Drop-offs

Alternatively, you can drop items off at one of our Foodbank Centres. Please only attempt food dro-poffs during opening hours or, even better, arrange a drop-off with us over the phone; this way, we can thank you appropriately and perhaps take a picture for our social media. Please, never leave food or items of any kind at the food bank door. Unfortunately we will have to report fly-tipping and dispose of the items.

 

4. Larger Donations

If you’d like to donate a larger amount of food, please contact us using the contact form and selecting the Food Donation Enquiry option on the drop down.
